National Council (Parliament) opens its autumn sessions

National Council Headquarters, Nov 30, 2017 (SPS) - The Autumn Session of the Saharawi National Council (Parliament) was inaugurated Thursday at the School  of June 9, with the presence of its Speaker, Jatri Aduh, the Prime Minister, Abdelkader Taleb Omar and members of the legislative and executive power.
The Session started with the approval of the work agenda that includes the evaluation of the Government's Annual Program and the presentation of the 2018 Program; the presentation of committee reports; the rectification of the Cooperation and Integration Agreement in the diplomatic field between the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and the Republic of Nicaragua as well as to schedule a solidary day with the Sahrawis in the Occupied Territories of Western Sahara.
In his speech, Jatri Aduh, stressed "the positive collaboration between the legislative and executive power within the framework of institutions and the protection of the achievements of the Saharawi State through deep and constructive dialogue."
For his part, the prime minister, underlined the main "victories achieved by the Saharawi cause in the diplomatic sphere and in particular the Euro-African Summit with the participation of an important Saharawi delegation", while listing the main lines of action of the Government, such as "promoting  Sahrawi People's Liberation Army" and "supporting the Intifada of Independence in the Occupied Territories and in the south of Morocco", as well as "emphasizing the diplomatic battle against Morocco, especially within the African Union ".
