Sahrawi President arrives to Ivorian capital to attend Fifth EU-UA Summit

Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Nov 28, 2017 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Gali, arrived on Tuesday in the Ivory Coast Abidjan, to participate in the Fifth European Union-Union Summit African, which will start tomorrow, November 29.
Upon arrival, the head of state, was received by the minister of public function and the minister of tourism.
It is expected that the Summit, which has the participation of multiple heads of State and Government, will address the future of relations, multilateral trade and security and stability on November 29 and 30.
The presence of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) is a message for Morocco, one year after its admission to the Union, as well as a reflection that the AU supports the decolonization of the SADR and respects the principles of its Charter. .
It is also an affirmation that the Saharawi State is an irreversible reality, and a major setback of the Moroccan diplomacy that maneuvered to prevent the participation of the SADR.
The Sahrawi delegation consists of Minister of State and Counselor at the Presidency, Bachir Mustafa Sayed, the coordinator with MINURSO, Mhamed Khadad, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, the UNMS, Fatma Mehdi, the delegate minister for Europe, Mohamed Sidati, the delegate minister for Africa, Hamdi Mayara, the ambassador for the African Union, Laman Baali, the adviser to the presidency, Abdati Braica, and the presidential adviser Sukeina Larabas and the Director of the African Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Musa Bilal.
