Sahrawi Republic participates in African Committee of Legal Affairs Ordinary Session

Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Nov 14, 2017 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), took part in the Third Ordinary Session of the African Committee of Legal Affairs, held Tuesday at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa , Ethiopia
Sahrawi Republic participates in the ministerial summit with a delegation headed by the delegate minister in charge of African affairs, Hamdi Jalil Mayara and composed of the Saharawi ambassador in Ethiopia and the African Union, Laman Abali.
The Saharawi Republic is expected to preside over the consultative meeting of the North African countries, dedicated to elect a representative of the region in the African Committee of Legal Affairs; an unoccupied position, due to the intransigence of Morocco and its attempts to bypass the organizational norms of the Union, as they indicated to the SPS correspondent in the AU, knowledgeable sources.
In response to the Moroccan maneuvers, the SADR announced its candidacy for the post while waiting for Libya to do the same, after the rounds of contacts between the countries of the region.
It is noteworthy that the Summit will also study a series of bills related to the organization of the work of specialized committees belonging to the African Union. SPS
