Bir-Lahlou (Liberated Zones), Nov 11, 2017 (SPS) – President of the Republic Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, sent Saturday a congratulatory message to President of the Republic of Angola, Joao Lourenco, on the occasion of the 42th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Angola.
“On behalf of the Saharawi People and on my own behalf, I extend my sincere congratulations on the 42th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Angola. I wish the people of Angola happiness, continued success and prosperity,” said the President of the Republic.
“Angola has become a key partner and ally of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic when working together in the African Union. Over this period, we have established a close dialogue, based on common approach towards a number of topical matters, particularly in addressing key challenges regarding peace and security and our common quest in defending the struggle of the Sahrawi People for their right to self-determination and independence.”
“I strongly believe, Excellency, that the long standing excellent bilateral relations established between the people of Republic of Angola and the people of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic have stood the test of time and adversity –two geographically distant but close countries in terms of values and intense desire for freedom- and also has for sure enhanced the core role of the African Union to take its natural place in the International arenas.”
“Excellency, may I again congratulate you and the people of Angola on your national day and wish a happy celebration. Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration and best wishes,” added President of the Republic. (SPS)
