Bir Lehlu (Liberated Zones), May 8, 2017 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Ghali, on Monday conveyed his congratulations to the new president of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron.
In a message addressed to the elected French president, the President of the Republic expressed his sincere congratulations to Mr Macron for his victory in the elections: "your election as president of the French Republic offers me the pleasant occasion to transmit to Your Excellency on behalf of the Saharawi people, government and on my own behalf, my warmest and most sincere congratulations, with the best wishes of success in your noble mission in the service of the French people."
He stressed that France, as the cradle of human rights, and given its prominence in international security and close relations with all components of the Maghreb, it is time for the elected French president to play a decisive role in the decolonization of Western Sahara. (SPS)
