FM heads a Saharawi delegation at 30 UA Executive Council session

Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), January 25, 2017 (SPS) - The 30th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union opened in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, in the presence of a Saharawi delegation headed by Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Uld Salek as a prelude to the 28 Summit of Heads of State and government the African Union scheduled for 30 and 31 January. 
The AU Executive Council will examine, for three days, the various issues on the agenda of the 28th African Summit, notably concerning the issues of economic, peace and security integration in the continent.
Other issues are on the agenda of the works of the Executive Council such as the funding of the African Union and the elections for the chairmanship of the organization’s Commission.
The current session will also be marked by the assessment of reforms proposals of the pan-African organization.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs is accompanied by a Saharawi delegation composed of Mr. Hamdi Jalil Mayara, Minister Delegate in charge of African affairs, Lamman Abaali. Permanent Representative of SADR to the African Union, Baba Bardi, first secretary of the Saharawi embassy in Ethiopia, and Abeida Mohamed Buzeid, expert on civil society issues. SPS
