President of Republic receives members of solidarity movement with Saharawi people in South Africa

Pretoria, January 9, 2017 (SPS) - President of the Republic Secretary-General of the Polisario front, Brahim Ghali, received Sunday at his residence in South Africa members of the solidarity movement with the Saharawi people in South Africa in the presence of the Ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic to South Africa, Bashir Esgheir, and the Counselor to the Presidency, Abdati Breika.
The President of the Republic briefed members of the Committee on the latest developments related to the Western Sahara issue and the Moroccan intransigence of escalation and rejection of the legitimacy resolutions calling for the decolonization of the last colony in Africa, and its violation of human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
The members of Solidarity movement with the Saharawi people in South Africa reaffirmed their solidarity and support to the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence and their willingness to provide support in all fields.
President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, arrived Friday morning in Johannesburg as part of a working visit to South Africa at the invitation of his South African counterpart, Jacob Zuma.
The President of the Republic is accompanied during this visit by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, Minister of Cooperation, Boulahi Sid, Secretary of State for Security and Documentation, Brahim Mohamed Mahmoud, Secretary-General of Nnational Union of Saharawi Women, Fatma Elmehdi, PAP Vice-President, Soueilma Beirouk, and Counselor to the Presidency of the Republic, Abdati Breika.
