Saharawi ambassador to Mozambique meets AU special envoy to Western Sahara

Maputo (Mozambique) November 01, 2016 (SPS) - Saharawi ambassador to Mozambique, Mr. Wadadi Chej Ahmed Lehaiba met Monday, with the former head of state of Mozambique and Special Envoy of the African Union to Western Sahara, Mr. Joaquim Alberto Chissano.
 
The meeting discussed the current situation in Western Sahara marked by Moroccan obstacles and provocations against UN AU settlement process for the decolonization of Western Sahara, along with the review of the Moroccan repeated violations of human rights and the looting of Saharawi natural resources.
 
They also reviewed the deteriorating situation in El Guergarat area and Moroccan attempts to join the African Union and it will to weaken AU principled stances towards the decolonization in Western Sahara. SPS
