Moroccan forces suppress peaceful sit-in in Smara

Smara (occupied territories), October 22, 2016 (SPS) - The Moroccan forces of repression intervened brutally against a peaceful sit-in organized Friday by unemployed Saharawi graduates in the occupied city of Smara.

During the sit-in, unemployed Saharawi graduates chanted slogans denouncing the illegal plunder of natural resources of Western Sahara by Morocco and demanding their rights to work and enjoying the natural wealth of their country.

The intervention left several wounded among unemployed Saharawi graduates, who were transferred to the hospital in the city.

Unemployed Saharawi graduates have been leading a battle for years against the Moroccan occupier, demanding their rights and to benefit of the wealth of their country, Western Sahara. (SPS)
