13th Fisahara: "Ladjouad" obtains title of best film

Dakhla (refugee camps), October 16, 2016 (SPS) "Ladjouad" film won the award of "White Camel" sanctioning the best projected work in the 13th International Film Festival in Western Sahara (Fisahara), closed Saturday night in Dakhla, refugee camp.
Directed by young Sahrawi filmmaker, Brahim Chegaf, the film deals with Sahrawi culture and ways of recovering the collective memory of the Saharawi people through ancient tales recounting cultural aspects of the Saharawi people, which preserves the authentic Saharawi cultural heritage.
The second award went to film "Sonita" of Iranian filmmaker, Boukechari, through which he seeks to convey the noble and legitimate message of the Saharawi people to Iranian society and make echo in the world.
The third award was obtained by film "El-Ghorba", directed by the Sahrawi film school, traces the political, social and humanitarian reality of the Saharawi people, while the fourth award was acquired by film "Kharedj El - Itar" by Palestinian filmmaker Riham Ghazali that shines light on the reality of the women in the Ghaza Strip.
The 13th Edition of Fisahara was closed late Saturday evening in the Wilaya of Dakhala, Sahrawi refugee camps, in the presence of Prime Minister Abdelkader Taleb Omar and the participating delegations. (SPS)
