President of Republic arrives in Kigali to take part in XXVII AU summit

Kigali (Rwanda), July 16, 2016 (SPS) The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, arrived Saturday in Kigali, Rwanda, to take part in the work of the 27th Summit of Heads of State and Government of African Union, scheduled to open tomorrow in Kiagli.

The president of the Republic was greeted at Kigali International Airport by Ms. Diana Gashumba, Minister of Equality and Family Promotion, General James Musemakneli, Chief of Staff, Dan Munyuza, Inspector General of Police, Mr. egoic Mukaruliza, Mayor of Kigali and M. Amandin Rugiba, Ambassador of Rwanda accredited to the Republic of Burundi.

The 27th AU Summit is scheduled for 17-18 July, in the presence of a large number of African Heads of State and governments, under the theme "Year of Human Rights with particular focus on rights of women ".

The President of the Republic is accompanied by a large delegation including Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, Minister in Charge of Africa Hamdi Khalil Mayara, Ambassador of SADR in the Ethiopia and the AU Lamine Baali, Vice President of the Pan African Parliament Sueilma Beirouk, Ambassador to Rwanda Habib Boukreiss, Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic Abdati Breika, and President of the Saharawi National Human Rights Commission, Abba Alhaissan.
