Saharawi Government condemns organization of Crans Montana Forum in occupied territories

Shaheed El Hafed, 20 March 2016 (SPS) - The Saharawi Government expressed Saturday its strongest condemnation of the decision of the Crans Montana Forum to organize its new edition in the occupied Sahrawi territories, stressing that this provocative act is a flagrant violation of international law and UN resolutions and promotes the Moroccan policies of occupation, expansion and state oppression.

In a press statement, the Saharawi Government expressed gratitude to nations, governments, international and continental organizations that have announced their boycott of the event, particularly the strong position expressed by the African Union through the declaration adopted at the last summit.

The Government reiterated its call on all nations, governments, organizations and individuals to refrain from participating or getting involved in any activity  that might include the soil and territorial waters of Western Sahara, recalling that the Saharawi state has the full right to use all means, including legal ones, to defend the supreme interests and the sacred rights of the Saharawi people.  (SPS)
