Ban Ki-moon holds talks with SADR’s President, Polisario Front’s officials

Shahid El Hafed (Refugee Camps), 6 March 2016 (SPS) - The United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon held Saturday, in Shahid el Hafed, talks with the President of the Saharwi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) Mohamed Abdelaziz, also Secretary General of the Polisario Front, legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people, fighting against the Moroccan occupier for their independence. The talks to which also took part the officials of the Polisario Front took place at the headquarters of SADR’s presidency. Upon his arrival in Shahid el-Hafed, Ban Ki-moon was welcomed by Sahrawi Prime Minister Omar Taleb. The situation of human rights in the occupied Western Sahara, the illegal exploitation by Morocco of the Sahrawi resources and the organization of a referendum on self-determination are the main three issues on the agenda of the meetings of Ban in the Sahrawi refugee camps.
