International Student Conference for Solidarity with Sahrawi People calls for accelerating decolonization of Western Sahara

El Aaiun (Refugee Camps), 6 August 2022 (SPS) -   The work of the International Student Conference for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People was concluded Saturday with a call for the speedy decolonization of Western Sahara.
The participants in the Conference, who discussed the failure of the United Nations to decolonize Western Sahara, also condemned the series of massive human rights violations against Sahrawi students in Moroccan universities by the Moroccan occupation state.

SPLA carries out new attacks against Moroccan occupation forces in Auserd and Oum Driga

Birlahlou (liberated territories), 6 August 2022 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) carried out, Saturday, new attacks against the entrenchments of the Moroccan occupying forces in the sectors of Auserd and Oum Driga, indicated the Ministry of Defense in its communiqué N 605.
According to the communiqué, SPLA units "targeted the positions of the Moroccan occupying forces in the areas of Glibat El Agaya, Glib Echeg, Gelb Enes in the sector of Auserd and Azmoul Oum Khamla in the sector of Oum Driga.

Sahrawi Ambassador to Ecuador presents his credentials

Quito (Ecuador), 6 August 2022 (SPS) - The Ecuadorean Foreign Minister, Mr. Juan Carlos Holguín, received Friday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the designated Sahrawi ambassador, Mr. Ahmiduha Ahmed, who presented a copy of his credentials, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sahrawi Republic to Ecuador.

The US Senate Appropriations Committee addressed the Western Sahara issue from three extremely important angles.

UESARIO 4th Congress kicks off in Wilaya of El Aaiun

El Aaiun (Refugee Camps), 6 August 2022 (SPS) - The 4th Congress of the Sahrawi students Union of Saguia el Hamra and Rio de Oro (UESARIO) was kicked off Friday in the Wilaya of El Aaiun, the Sahrawi refugee camps, with participation of more than 400 delegates from UESARIO's branches, a delegation from the occupied territories of Western Sahara, and more than 150 guests representing international student organizations which maintain working relations and cooperation with UESARIO.

Saharawi student was subjected to torture inside the Rabat university campus

Rabat University Campus (Morocco), 04, August 2022 (SPS) – The Saharawi student and researcher, Jarbuch Brahim, was subjected to beatings and verbal and physical humiliation on July 31, 2022 by a group of ten people who are part of the security apparatus of the Moroccan occupation authorities, inside the university campus of the Moroccan capital, Rabat.

UK Trade Unionists stand up for Saharawis' right to self-determination

Tolpuddle (UK) 03 August 2022 (SPS)-  The annual British Trade Union festival of the six Tolpuddle Martyrs expressed support and solidarity with the Struggle of Saharawi people, Western Sahara campaign said in a letter to Saharawi Workers Union (UGTSARIO), urging the British government to stand for the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination.
"Today the Saharawi people who live under a brutal Moroccan colonial regime in occupied Western Sahara are also standing up for their rights," the letter says.
