SPLA targets entrenchments of occupation forces in Mahbes and Haouza sectors

Birlahlou (Liberated Territories), 30 April 2022 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) have carried out intense attacks against the Moroccan occupation forces in the sectors of Mahbes and Haouza, indicated Friday a communiqué of the Ministry of National Defense.
According to communiqué No. 519, SPLA units bombarded the entrenchments and sites of the Moroccan occupation forces, concentrated on the areas of Agraret El Fersik, Oudi Edhamrane and Ros Essebti in the Mahbes sector.

SPLA attacks enemy targets in Gararat Al-Atasa and Udei Adamran regions

Bir Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), 27, April 2022 (SPS) - The Saharawi Popular People Army (SPLA) has attacked several targets of the Moroccan occupation forces located in the Gararat Al-Atasa and Udei Adamran regions, in Mahbes, causing casualties and destruction of enemy war material.
According to War Report No. 516 made public by the Ministry of National Defense, advance detachments of our army carried out the attacks against the aforementioned regions.

Saharawi students in Moroccan prisons announce their entry into hunger strike

Al-Kunetira (Morocco), 27, April 2022 (SPS) – Several Saharawi political prisoners from the Saharawi student group known as “The Companions of Luali” have announced their entry into a forty-eight hour hunger strike.
According to sources from Saharawi human rights activists, the student activists who have decided to go on a hunger strike are Abdelmula Mohamed Al-Hafed, Bachir Brahim Amadur, Al-Bir Kentawi, Aziz Al-Wahidi and Mohamed Dadda.

Spanish political forces continue efforts to make Government return to international position on Sahrawi issue

Madrid, 25 April 2022 (SPS) - The Secretary-General of the Spanish Communist Party, Enrique Santiago, reaffirmed Sunday the determination of all political forces under Spain's Unidas Podemos to continue on pressure Madrid to return to the ranks of the international community and abide by the decisions of the Spanish House of Representatives in defence of the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination, in line with United Nations resolutions.

Algiers, 24 April 2022 (SPS) - President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed Saturday that Madrid’s change of position on the issue of Western Sahara is “ethically and historically” unacceptable, pointing out that Algeria and Spain will restore their relations only if the international law is implemented. 

League for Protection of Sahrawi Prisoners denounces poor conditions of detention in Kenitra

Occupied El Aaiun, 24 April 2022 (SPS) - The League for the Protection of Sahrawi prisoners in Moroccan prisons denounced the poor conditions of detention of Sahrawi political prisoners of the group "Gdeim Izik", Hassan Dah and Zaoui Houssine, on hunger strike in the central prison of Kenitra in Morocco.
In a statement based on the words of the Dah family, the league reported the poor conditions of detention following the isolation of the prisoners since April 3, 2022, as well as the deterioration of their health.

New York, 24 April 2022 (SPS) - The Polisario Front affirmed Friday that the strong stances of the members of the United Nations Security Council during the consultations on Western Sahara concerning the necessity of reaching a peaceful solution guaranteeing the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination on the basis of UN resolutions, were a “clear response” to those who seek to promote doubtful solutions based on the violation of the fundamental rules of the international law.

Security Council members reiterate support for de Misutra’s efforts in Western Sahara

New York (UN), 23 April 2022 (SPS) - The members of the United Nations (UN) Security Council reiterated Wednesday their support for the efforts of the UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Staffan de Mistura to revive the negotiations between the two parties to the conflict, namely the Polisario Front and Morocco.
Speaking at a meeting on the latest developments in Western Sahara, the personal envoy welcomed “the strong support he received to revive the political process aimed at finding a solution to the conflict in Western Sahara.”

Initiative to end the mistreatment of political prisoner Haddi

London, 20th Apr 2022 (SPS) - The non-governmental organization (NGO) Amnesty International has called on human rights defenders to send a letter to the head of the Moroccan government urging him to put an end to the ill-treatment inflicted on the Sahrawi political prisoner, Mohamed Lamine Haddi, member of the "Gdeim Izik" group, held in solitary confinement since 2017, when he was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

According to War Report No. 511 issued by the Ministry of National Defense, units of our army carried out the following actions:
- Bombing against enemy positions in the Um Lagti region, in the Mahbes sector.

POLISARIO Representative at UN meets with UNSG Personal Envoy for Western Sahara

New York (United Nations), 21, April 2022 (SPS) – The POLISARIO Representative at the UN and Coordinator with MINURSO, Dr. Sidi Mohamed Omar, met Tuesday with the Personal Envoy of the United Nations Secretary for the Western Sahara, Staffan de De Mistura.
Dr. Sidi Mohamed Omar informed Mr. De Mistura about the position of the POLISARIO on the UN peace process in Western Sahara and other issues related to the conflict.

SPLA carries out new attacks against positions of occupier in Mahbes sector

Birlahlou, 17 April 2022 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) carried out Saturday new attacks against the entrenchments of the Moroccan occupying forces in several areas in the sector of Mahbes, said the military statement No. 508 issued by the Ministry of National Defense.
According to the statement, "the Sahrawi Army units bombed the entrenchments and positions of the Moroccan occupation forces in the areas of Agrarat Fersik, Laagad and Aguirat Ould Abellal, in the sector of Mahbes.
