Right Livelihood Foundation: "Stop the smear campaign and prosecution of Aminatou Haidar and Sahrawi activists"

Stockholm (Sweden) 30 September 2020 (SPS)- The Right Livelihood Foundation strongly condemned Moroccan Media  campaign against Saharawi Organ against Moroccan occupation (ISACOM), in a press release issued Today by the Foundation and published on its website.

Occupied Aaiun, Sept 30, 2020 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Commission against Moroccan Occupation has warned, in a statement, Wednesday, against the physical targeting of its members by the Moroccan occupation authorities on Tuesday after Moroccan media and parties launched a chauvinist incitement campaign against the Commission since its inception on September 20 in the occupied city of Aaiun.

New York (United Nations) 25 September 2020 (SPS)- The Vice President of Zierra Leone, Mr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, reiterated his country’s commitment to UN efforts aimed at “total elimination of colonialism”, in his country’s speech before the UN General Assembly Today.
“Sierra Leone reiterates its commitment to multilateral efforts geared toward the total elimination of colonialism in all its forms and manifestation, and supports the adopted decade plan of action,” he stressed.

New York (United Nations) 25 September 2020 (SPS)- The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, H.E. Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, called on the UN Security Council “to increase efforts towards ending the occupation of Western Sahara”, in his speech before the UN General Assembly yesterday.
He further stressed that “self-determination and independence are intrinsic and fundamental rights that should be enjoyed by all without distinction.”

Hage Geingob: Namibia continues supporting Western Sahara right to self-determination and freedom

Algeria, Sept 23, 2020 (SPS) - Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has called Wednesday, the United Nations to speed up the organization of a referendum of self-determination of the Sahrawi people.
Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during his address before the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, has expressed his regret at the obstacles the Western Sahara issue is facing, especially the halting of negotiations between the parties to the conflict and the delay in appointing a new UN envoy to Western Sahara.

New Sahrawi ambassador to Nicaragua presents his credentials to Minister of Foreign Affairs

Managua (Nicaragua) September 19, 2020 (SPS) - The new ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic to Nicaragua, Mr. Wali Amer Ali-Salem, presented Friday his credentials to Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua, Mr. Denis Moncada, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 
On this occasion, the head of the Nicaraguan diplomacy affirmed that Nicaragua and the Sahrawi Republic have very strong fraternal historical ties, stressing the right of the Sahrawi people for self-determination and independence.

240 NGOs call on the UNHRC to implement programmes of cooperation with Polisario Front

Geneva (Human Rights Council) 16 September 2020 (SPS)- American Association of Jurists’ Representative in Geneva, Mr. Gianfranco Fattorini, called on the UN Human Rights Council, on behalf of a group of 240 organisation, “to implement a programme of technical cooperation and capacity building with the legal representative of the people of Western Sahara, the Polisario Front.”
