Representative of the F. Polisario in Germany: "There is a broad campaign against the illegal exploitation of the natural resources of Western Sahara"

Berlin (Germany), Oct 30 , 2018 (SPS) - The representative of the Frente POLISARIO, Aliyen Habib Ketaoui, pointed out that Germany is the scene of a broad campaign to paralyze the illegal exploitation of the natural resources of Western Sahara, as long as it does not end to the process of decolonization sponsored by the UN. "The campaign is being promoted by politician, members of committees supporting the Saharawi people and parliamentarians in several federal states," said the Saharawi representative.

President of Republic chairs Council of Ministers meeting

Shaheed Al-Hafed, October 28, 2018 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, on Sunday presided over a meeting of the Council of Ministers, at the Presidency of the Republic.
The agenda of the meeting includes the evaluation of the annual program of the government for 2018 and the preparation of the annual program for 2019, examining the latest developments related to the Sahrawi issue, and the achievements made by the Sahrawi state.

New Zealand firms looting of Sahrawi phosphate hinders UN peace process

Wellington (New Zealand), October 27, 2018 (SPS) - Mohamed Fadel Kamal, Representative of the Polisario Front in Australia on Thursday called on New Zealand companies involved in the looting of Western Sahara phosphate to cease their activities which are in violation of international laws, hinder "the UN peace process and encourages the Moroccan regime to continue its illegal occupation of Western Sahara."

Wellington (New Zealand) Oct 24, 2018 (SPS)- The Frente POLISARIO representative in Australia, Mohamed Fadel Kamal, has held series  of meeting with representatives of the government, Parliament, Association of Phosphate Importers, the Council of Trade Unions, New Zealand academics and journalists as well as members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the country.
Mohamed Fadel Kamal  will also give lectures at the New Zealand Institute for International Relations and the Peace Group of Bojato.

Algiers, 22 October 2018 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Republic is taking part in the African Union’s 3rd Specialized Technical Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports, held from 21 to 25 October, in Algiers.
The session opened Sunday and is chaired by the Saharawi Republic. It session brings together experts of youth, culture and sport ministries from AU’s member States around workshops. It is the opportunity to emphasize the expected results of the implementation of the programmes and strategies adopted under the aegis of AU, notably in sports, youth and culture.

Gonfreville-L'Orcher (France), October 20, 2018 (SPS) - The Polisario Front said Saturday in Gonfreville-L'Orcher, near the Havre, France, that he will henceforth take legal actions against the French groups operating on the territory of Western Sahara.
The Frente Polisario lodged a complaint with the public prosecutor in Paris Thursday (division specialized for war crimes) against six French groups namely, BNP Paribas SA, Societe Generale, Credit Agricole, AXA Assurances, Transavia and UCPA.

UN adopts resolution for self-determination of Sahrawi people

New York (United Nations), October 19, 2018 (SPS) - The Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee) has adopted a draft resolution on Western Sahara, reaffirming the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination.
Under this resolution adopted without a vote, the UN General Assembly supported the resumption of the negotiation process "with a view to achieving a just, lasting and mutually acceptable political solution which allows self-determination of Western Sahara people."

New York, Oct 18, 2018 (SPS) - The Republic of Zimbabwe on Tuesday expressed its support for the efforts of Secretary-General Kohler's Personal Envoy to allow the Saharawi people to exercise their right to self-determination to independence.
The Republic of Zimbabwe expressed its satisfaction with the resumption of the Western Sahara peace process through the preparation of the talks in Geneva and the initiative of the African Union to establish a mechanism to contribute to the solution of the Saharawi cause. SPS

Unfair sentences against Saharawi journalists in the Occupied Territories of Western Sahara

Guelmim, (Southern Morocco), Oct 18, 2018 (SPS) ¬ The Court of Appeal of the city of Guelmim, issued, on Monday, harsh and unjust sentences against media activists and Sahrawi human rights activists, according to the League for the protection of Saharawi prisoners in Moroccan prisons.
The convicted Saharawi activists are Abdullah Mouloud Al-Husain (Ferdous), who was sentenced to 30 months in prison and Abdel Karim Lemhmeden to 30 days in prison, suspended his execution.
