President of Republic receives message of thanks from Zimbabwean counterpart

Bir Lehlou, September 9, 2018 (SPS) -  President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, has received a message of thanks from Zimbabwean counterpart, H.E. Emmerson Mnangagwa, for attending his inauguration as President of the Republic of Zimbabwe.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Zimbabwe, and indeed on my own behalf, I have the honour to sincerely thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to grace my inauguration as the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe,” said President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Moroccan authorities subject Sahrawi political prisoners to strict inspection

Tiflet (Morocco), September 8, 2018 (SPS) - The local prison administration of Tiflet 2 on Wednesday raided and searched the cells of Sahrawi political prisoners of Gdeim Izik group, Bashir Khada and Mohamed Lamine Heddi, in a provocative and humiliating manner, according to a Sahrawi human rights source.
According to the same source, the inspection was carried out by a group of the prison staff led by the deputy head of the prison who deliberately tampering with their belongings. (SPS)

El Aaiún (occupied capital of SADR), Sept 06, 2018 (SPS) - The Moroccan occupation authorities issued Wednesday unfair sentences against two Saharawi activists, the journalists Mohamed Salem Mayara and Mohamed al-Ghali, sentencing from six months to 18 months of suspension.
The two Saharawi journalists were condemned by the so-called Moroccan Court of First Instance in occupied El Aaiún.

Brussels, September 3, 2018 (SPS) - Saharawi Deputy Minister for Europe Mohamed Sidati on Sunday warned the institutions under Moroccan law against speaking on behalf of Western Sahara people, as the occupied towns of Al-Ayun and Dakhla are bracing to welcome a European Parliament delegation.
"A European parliament delegation will pay a two-day visit to the occupied territory of Western Sahara, from Monday, for a better understanding of the situation," Sidati said in a press statement.
