"After the great victory in the presidential elections held in your country, Iran, I have the honor to extend to Your Excellency, on behalf of the people and Government of the Sahrawi Republic, my warmest congratulations and sincere wishes to you and the people of Iran , " said the President of the Republic.

President of Republic commends African Union's firm position on Saharawi issue

Wilaya of Awserd (Refugee Camps), May 21, 2017 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, praised the positions of the African Union towards the maneuvers of the Moroccan occupation state, which showed its adherence to its principles and resolutions and its determination to complete the liberation of Africa, with the decolonization of Western Sahara, the last colony on the continent.

Seminar in Caribbean: UN urged to speed up Western Sahara decolonization process

Kingstown (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines), May 20, 2017 (SPS) -Participants in the regional seminar of the Caribbean on decolonization held by the United Nations' 24 Committee called for the UN to speed up the decolonization process of Western Sahara and the organization of a self-determination referendum. 
The three-day seminar, held in Kingstown and devoted to the future of the 17 non-autonomous territories on the UN agenda, stressed the need to revive the UN special Committee for decolonization, alias Committee of 24, so that is can reach its goals.

Commencement of celebrations commemorating 44th anniversary of armed struggle launch

Wilaya of Awserd (Refugee Camps), May 20, 2017 (SPS) - The celebration of the 44th anniversary of the outbreak of the armed struggle has been launched Saturday in the Wilaya of Awserd, refugee camps.
The celebrations were attended by President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, members of the National Secretariat, the Government, foreign delegations, and a large population of the Wilaya.

Moroccan court postpones trial of Gdeim Izik prisoners

Salé (Morocco), May 19, 2017 (SPS) - The Moroccan court has postponed the trial of the Sahrawi political prisoners of Gdeim Izik until June 5, according to a Sahrawi human rights source from the occupied territories.
According to the source, the court decided to postpone the judgment after two weeks of hearings that witnessed numerous violations of the right of the prisoners in a fair trial.

Bujari Ahmed participates in Seminar on decolonization organized by the UN Special Committee on decolonization

EU won’t fund Morocco’s renewable energy projects in Western Sahara

Western Sahara: ECJ decision, "mandatory" for EU, member states, says Belani

Paris (France), May 15, 2017 (SPS) – The decision of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) which excludes Western Sahara territories from the EU-Morocco trade agreements is "mandatory" for both the European Commission and its member states, said Algeria's ambassador to Brussels, Amar Belani, in reaction to reports that the European Commission had requested the Union’s approval for a new negotiating mandate with a view to "adjusting" certain provisions of the agreements.

Sahrawis in Belgium celebrate 44th anniversary of Polisario Front creation

POLISARIO participates in the Congress of the Danish Red-Green Alliance Party

Copenhagen (Denmark) 14 May, 2017 (SPS) - Upon official invitation, the POLISARIO Front representative in Denmark, Mr. Abba Malainin, has participated in the annual Congress of the Red-Green Alliance Party convened in the capital, Copenhagen from 12 to 14 May 2017.
The Danish party has traditional unwavering supporting stand with regard to the right of the people of Western Sahara to self-determination, independence, the respect of human rights in Western Sahara and defends also the right of the Saharawi people sovereignty over their natural resources.

President of Republic condemns aggressive behavior of Morocco in Sahrawi liberated territories

"strongly condemned" the new aggressive behavior through the presence of the Moroccan forces at 50 kilometers outside the buffer zone, in the territorial waters of Western Sahara between Guerguerat and Lagouira, southwestern Western Sahara, in violation of the 1991 ceasefire agreement no. 1 and the supplementary convention of 1997 signed between the Polisario Front and Morocco under the auspices of the UN.
