POLISARIO calls for ECJ ruling implementation

Brussels, December 23, 2016 (SPS) -The Saharawi Coordinator with the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO), Mr.  M'Hamed Khadad has urged Thursday in Brussels the European Union (EU) to "implement" the ruling of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) and contribute to the resolution of the conflict in Western Sahara, in accordance with international law.

EU expresses concerns over ill-treatment, impunity in Western Sahara

Brussels, December 23, 2016 (SPS) -The European Union (EU) has expressed "concerns" over the accusations of ill-treatment and impunity in Western Sahara stressed the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
"As part of dialogue with Moroccan authorities, the EU expresses concerns over allegations of ill-treatment and impunity," stressed Mogherini in her answer to a question by a an Euro-MP Paloma Lopez on the case of Sahrawi Mohamed Fadel Ould Jatri Ould Ahnan killed by Morocco forces.SPS
 

CTA expresses its support to Saharawi political prisoners

Buenos Aires, December 23, 2016 (SPS) -The Central Workers of Argentina (CTA)  has expressed Thursday its support and solidarity with the Sahrawi political prisoners of the Gdeim Izik Group.
In a press release published Thursday, CTA expresses its full solidarity with the Saharawi people's just struggle and their support for Saharawi political prisoners.

EU-Morocco agricultural agreement doesn’t apply to Western Sahara

Brussels, December 21, 2016 (SPS) - The agreement between the European Union (EU) and Morocco, signed in 2012, on the mutual liberalization of the trade of agricultural and fishing products can’t apply to the territory of Western Sahara, concluded Wednesday the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).

President of Republic sends condolences message to Russian counterpart

AU membership governed by clear criteria, without preconditions

Oran, December 20, 2016 (SPS) - African Union membership is governed by "clear criteria" without "preconditions," said Monday in Oran African Union Commissioner for Peace and Security Smail Chergui, during a press conference held at the end of the 4th High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa.
"Any country seeking to join the African Union should consider itself like the other members with the same rights and duties," he added.

Brazilian delegation in working visit to Saharawi Refugee Camps

Chahid El Hafed, December 20, 2016 (SPS) - A Brazilian delegation undertook a visit to the Saharawi Refugee Camps since Sunday as part of a working visit during which it will meet with Saharawi state officials.
 
The delegation that arrived yesterday Sunday has met with the Governor of the Wilaya of El Aaiun, Mr. Mohammed Yeslem Beissat and visited wilaya facilities and institutions as the "Olof Palme center and some schools, they also met with the National Saharawi Human Rights Commission.
 

Polisario Front criticizes Morocco’s proposal to promote tourism with Canary Islands

Madrid, December 19, 2016 (SPS) - Canary Islands’ Polisario Front Delegation said that “the Moroccan authorities are trying to legitimize the occupation of the territories of Western Sahara with their proposal to share tourists with the Spanish archipelago and to promote the cooperation in this sector.”

Bir Lehlu (SADR Liberated Territories), December 13, 2016 (SPS) - The President of the Republic , Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, expressed his sincere condolences to his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, following the Brutal explosion in the Coptic church of Cairo that occurred, on Sunday, causing dozens of dead and wounded.
The President of the Republic condemned, in his message, this suicide attack against civilians, highlighting the solidarity of the Saharawi people with Egypt.
