Maputo, October 18, 2016 (SPS) - The participants in the World March of Women (WMW), held in Maputo (Mozambique), has emphasized  that this initiative expressed the solidarity of world´s women with Saharawi women and denounced the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara.
 

Uruguayan Senate expresses support to Saharawi Republic in fight for independence

Montevideo (Uruguay) October 18, 2016 (SPS) - The chairman of the International Affairs Committee of Uruguay's Senate, Jorge Larranaga, has expressed his country's support to the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in its fight for independence, and UN efforts in the search for a peaceful, just solution allowing Western Sahara people to exert their inalienable right to self-determination.

Durban (South Africa) October 17, 2016 (SPS) – Minister of Information Hamada Selma has held meetings with his African counterparts, on the sidelines of the 5th African Internet Governance Forum.
In this context, he met with his counterparts from South Africa, Malawi, Gambia, and addressed the general situation of the Saharawi issue as well as to inform their governmentsabout  the gratitude of the Sahrawi state for the position of the African countries against foreign occupation and pro right of peoples to self-determination, freedom and independence.

Fisahara management organizes sit-in in front of Moroccan wall of shame

Bir-Lehlou (Liberated Zones), October 17, 2016 (SPS) The management of International Film Festival in Western Sahara (Fisahara) organized Sunday a sit-in in front of the Moroccan wall of shame that divides Western Sahara and separates its people.
During the sit-in, held just meters from the Moroccan minefields harvested annually tens of Sahrawi citizens, participants expressed their support for the Sahrawi people and to convey their suffering parts of the world.  

President of Republic bidden farewell at Lome airport by Togolese prime minister

Africa, beloved of God has many sons and daughters. Some of them in ancient Egypt gave the world its modern civilization. It also gave Greece its philosophy which became the basis of Western thought and philosophy. However, a different race whom our Seers had warned us against, swooped and enslaved almost all of Africa’s children. In pain and in tears, through our sweat and blood we struggled for freedom. That was years before the whole humanity agreed that the right of a people to self-determination is non-negotiable.

President of Republic meets with heads of state and delegations participating in AU Extraordinary Summit

Lome (Togo), October 16, 2016 (SPS) The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, had talks Saturday with heads of state and government and delegations, on the sidelines of the AU Extraordinary  Summit, held in Lome under the theme of  maritime security and development in Africa.
In this context, the President of the Republic met with his counterparts of Chad, Togo, Mauritania, Mali, Kenya, Tanzania and Ghana.

Uruguayan Senate reaffirms support for Saharawi Republic in its struggle for independence

Dr. Larranaga said "Uruguay support the United Nations efforts in the search for a peaceful and just solution to the Saharawi people to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination and independence.

Lome (Togo), October 15, 2016 (SPS) The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, arrived Friday evening in Lome to participate in the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government devoted to maritime security and development in Africa, held Saturday.
The president of the Republic was welcomed on his arrival at the airport in Lome by Togolese president Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.

FiSahar: organization of round table on the reality of occupied peoples

Dakhla, October 15, 2016 (SPS) - the organizers of FiSahara Friday organized a roundtable on the reality of occupied peoples with the presence of national and international media.
 
The roundtable which witnessed the participation of Sahrawi delegation from the occupied territories along with representatives from Canada, Ecuador, Palestine, Syria, Armenia, America, has focused on situation of occupied peoples and the violation of human rights and persecution and other means of brutal repression suffered by the colonized peoples.
