Sahrawi political prisoner suffers serious health situation

Ait Melloul (Morocco) January 25, 2015 (SPS) – the Saharawi political prisoner Abdul Khaliq Almuati, suffers a serious health situation, due to complications of the open hunger strike he started ten days ago in the Moroccan jail Ait Melloul.

 


According to a Saharawi human right source, the administration of the Moroccan jail transferred Abdul Khaliq Almuati with a group of Saharawi political prisoners to the clinic of the prison, in order to pressure them to end the hunger strike by preventing them from supplying with sugar.

 


The Saharawi political prisoner Abdul Khaliq Almuati, has embarked on 15 January, an open hunger strike, to protest against the miserable situation and ill treatment inside the prison, and to demand the right to fair trial.

 


It is expected that Abdul Khaliq represents again on January 26 in front of the Court of Appeal in the Moroccan city of Agadir. (SPS)
