Submitted on

Algiers, July 15, 2021 (SPS) - the Sahrawi Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Salem Ould Salek affirmed Wednesday, in Algiers, that the African Union (AU) and the United Nations (UN) must exert pressure on Morocco to enable the Sahrawi people to exercise their right to self-determination and independence, the only solution to the conflict, in accordance with the international legality.
"The AU and the UN are called upon to put pressure on Morocco by forcing it to respect the borders with its neighbors, including Western Sahara, and by leading it to allow the Saharawi people to exercise their right to self-determination and independence," Ould Salek told the press after his meeting with the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community in the foreigner, Ramtane Lamamra.
"We invite the international community to assume its responsibilities to end the occupation in our country and impose the right of the Saharawi people to freedom and sovereignty, like other countries," he added.SPS
