Angolan Women's Organization SG renews her country firm position to the legitimate struggle of the Saharawi people

Luanda (Angola), July 14, 2021 (SPS) - The ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in Angola, Mr. Hamdi Jalil Mayara, was received this Wednesday by the General Secretary of the Angolan Women's Organization ( OMA), Mrs. Joana Domingos Dos Santos, where the Angolan official renewed "the firm position of her country and party to the legitimate struggle of the Saharawi people."
During the meeting, both parties also addressed the current situation of the conflict in Western Sahara, particularly after November 13, 2020, the date on which Morocco violated the ceasefire and Military Agreement number 1, beginning an escalation of human rights violations in the Sahrawi occupied areas.
In this sense, the Sahrawi ambassador informed his Angolan host about the different aspects of the history of violations and practices in Morocco contrary to the values ​​of international and humanitarian law, highlighting the repeated Moroccan maneuvers at the African level since his departure from the Organization to the African Unity in 1983 and praising the great role of Sahrawi women in the just struggle of their people in building institutions and for freedom and independence.
For her part, Ms. Joana Domingo Dos Satos highlighted “the solidity of the positions of principle of her organization and party regarding the support and backing of the just struggle of the Sahrawi people, which emanate from the traditional position of the Republic of Angola on this issue, which he assures will continue to be unchanged ”.
