Submitted on

Madrid, 24 May 2021 (SPS) -The Spanish Foreign Ministry has again denied the claims and untruths of the Moroccan regime, aimed at damaging the image of the symbols of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), in particular President Brahim Ghali, affirming that the Saharawi president did not arrive in Spain with a falsified passport, as reported by several media.
In its most recent reaction, sources from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs told the Agency "Europe Press" on Friday that the Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali did not arrive in Spain with a false passport, asserting that he traveled with his passport that meets "the ordinary requirements".
For his part, the representative of the Polisario Front in Spain, Abdullah Arabi welcomed in a statement to the APS, the denial of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs concerning the claims and untruths of the Moroccan regime, Stressing that the clear response of the Spanish Government has prompted the media in this European country to re-disseminate information widely, with a view to correcting the untruths that some media had previously relayed.
For Mr. Arabi, "there is a fierce campaign and disinformation that Morocco is conducting in Spain, through which it tries to undermine the Sahrawi cause and its national symbols, including President Ghali, Secretary General of the Polisario Front.
Mr. Abdullah Arabi believes that Morocco follows any means in the framework of the propaganda campaign, through which it wants to pressure Spain and Europe, in order to follow the step made by the former U.S. President Donald Trump who announced his alleged sovereignty over the Western Sahara.
