FM congratulates his South African counterpart on Freedom Day

Bir Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), April 27, 2021 (SPS) - The Foreign Minister, Mr. Mohamed Salek Uld Salek, today sent a letter to his South African counterpart, Ms. Naledi Pandor, to congratulate her on the commemoration of the Freedom Day, celebrated in her country on April 27 of each year.
“On the occasion of the celebration of Freedom Day, I would like to express my sincere congratulations and best wishes for the achievement of your freedom, which you have achieved with so much sacrifice and merit, after a struggle carried out by the brother South African people with courage and determination ”, highlights the letter.
“On the occasion of this glorious date, I reaffirm the unwavering will of the people and the government of the Sahrawi Republic to strengthen and promote the relations of brotherhood that exist between our countries, a relationship that was forged on the basis of a common struggle for freedom. ”Concludes the letter.
In this regard, the President of Parliament, Mr. Hamma Salama, also congratulated his South African counterpart, Ms. Thandi Modise on the same occasion, stating that "I am honored to convey to Your Excellency my warmest congratulations on Freedom Day." .
The Speaker of Parliament also noted that "the heroic struggle of our South African sisters and brothers continues to be one of the most glorious chapters in the historical trajectory of the African struggle for freedom and of which we are all proud." SPS
