SPLA continues attacks on Moroccan occupation forces positions for 129th day in row

Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), 21 March 2021 (SPS) - The units of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) have launched new attacks against the positions of the Moroccan occupation army along the berm, according to the military communiqué released Saturday by the Sahrawi Ministry of Defense.
“On Friday, March 19, 2021, units of the Sahrawi Army carried out heavy shelling targeting positions of the occupation forces in the area of Arkiz, in the sector of Kelta and another shelling that targeted the positions of the Moroccan occupation army in the area of Akarara Hadid in the sector of Al-Farsiyah,” according to the military communiqué.
On Saturday, the same source added, “Sahrawi fighters shelled a Moroccan forces centre in the Akarara Al-Arbi area in the Atouizki sector” and “intense shelling that targeted Moroccan bases in the Lamsameer region in the Atouizki sector.”
The Sahrawi fighters also carried out, according to the communiqué, “violent shelling against the positions of the occupation forces in the area of Kosbet al-Shuhada in the sector of Atouizki” and “a shelling targeting the sites of the occupation forces in the area of Fadra Laktitira in the sector of Hawza.
They also shelled the positions of the occupying forces in the Ross Aoudiate Ashdidat area in the Al-Farisiyah area.
The ministry said that “during that day, a landmine detonated a GMC truck belonging to the occupation forces and was completely destroyed”.
The SPLA continues its attacks against the positions of the Moroccan occupying forces, which have suffered considerable material and human losses along the wall of shame,” the communiqué concluded. (SPS)
