Chahid El Hafed (Saharawi Republic) Jan 13 2021 (SPS)- Frente POLISARIO National Secretariat’s 3rd Ordinary Session, held on 11th, 12th and 13th January, highly praised Algerian people and government for the principled support to the Saharawi legitimate struggle for freedom, while sending messages to other neighboring countries.
In its Final Communique, the Secretariat “acknowledges with pride and gratitude the brotherly government and people of Algeria, under the leadership of H.E. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for the firm and principled position in support of the struggle of the Sahrawi people, in a continuation of the spirit of the glorious Algerian liberation revolution, which is still a source of inspiration for all freedom fighters and a refuge to all oppressed peoples.”
It further saluted the “unanimity of the Algerian people and their stand in solidarity with their brother Sahrawi people at this new juncture of the Saharawi national struggle is another evidence of the strong bonds of solidarity and brotherhood between the two peoples.”
The National Secretariat also “appreciated the brotherly relations and good neighborliness that exist between the SADR and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania,” expressing its hope “to strengthen them in a way that serves the common interest of the two brotherly countries and peoples.”
As for Spain, the National Secretariat “reminds it of its complex historical, legal and moral responsibility towards Western Sahara and its people,” and recalls “that favoring the Kingdom of Morocco, although a dangerous bet in the past, has become, in light of the recent developments, a fatal mistake for which the entire region will pay a heavy price at the level of Security, stability and respect for international borders inherited from the colonial era.” SPS
