SPLA continues attacks on Moroccan military bases for 34th day in row

Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), 19 December 2020 (SPS) - The units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) continued Wednesday their attacks on the bases and positions of Morocco's occupation forces, along the wall of shame in the area of El-Guerguerat, the Sahrawi ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The ministry said in its military statement N° 34 that "intense shelling targeted, on Wednesday, the enemy's entrenchments in the region of Amkli Etamat (Amkala sector), the area of Umm Lekta (Mehbes sector) and the region of Benkaret (sector of Smara)."
They also targeted "positions in the Akouira Oueld Ablel area (Mehbes sector), the Aoudi Lefririna area (Smara sector) and the Sbeykhet El Ach area (Smara sector)."
The Sahrawi Liberation Army on Tuesday targeted the Adhim Oum Adjloud region, in the Aousserd sector, according to the statement.
The bombed Moroccan bases have responded "targeting, Monday, the Oum Edken region, in the Bakari sector, without achieving any results," according to the statement.
"The targeted attacks of the Sahrawi Liberation Army continued for the fourth week in a row, causing considerable damage, both human and material, in the ranks of the Moroccan occupation forces, along the wall of shame," the statement concluded. (SPS)
