Swedish parliamentarians visit Saharawi refugee camps and liberated territories

Stockholm - A delegation of members of the Swedish parliament start a visit to the Saharawi refugee camps and liberated territories of Western Sahara as from Sunday, said a statement of the representation of the Polisario Front in Sweden.
The delegation headed by the Second Vice-President of the Parliament and Coordinator of the Swedish Parliamentary Network for Western Sahara, includes the Chairman of the Swedish Committee of Solidarity with the Saharawi People, in charge of the Western Sahara file at the Emmaus Stockholm Foundation, according to the same source.
During the five-day visit, the Swedish parliamentary delegation will visit Saharawi institutions and meet citizens and representatives of Saharawi civil society, as well as officials and leaders of the Polisario Front and the Saharawi government.
In 2012, the Swedish Parliament approved a recommendation calling on the government to recognize the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), it should be recalled. (SPS)
