Minister for Foreign Affairs represents Saharawi Republic in 7th Ticad Summit in Japan

Yokohama (Japan) 27 August 2019 (SPS)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Uld Salek, represented the Sahrawi Republic in the Ministerial Meeting of the 7th African Union-Japan Partnership Summit (TICAD), on Tuesday in Yokohama, Japan, accompanied by the Sahrawi Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Mr. Lamine Baali.
TICAD summit opened on Monday at the level of Senior Officials from African Union member states and Japan, in the presence of representatives from many countries, regional and international organizations, international financial institutions from public and private sectors, civil society organizations and hundreds of journalists and personalities.
The Ministerial meeting is expected to endorse a strategy for cooperation in the field of economic and social development and its implementation plan.
The results of the ministerial meeting will be therefore presented tomorrow to the 7th Summit of TICAD, which will be held on 28th and 29th August, with the participation of the President of the Sahrawi Republic, Mr. Brahim Ghali, along with African presidents and Japanese Prime Minister.
