Minister for Latin America and Caribbean highlights Panama University collaboration with Saharawi people

Panama (Panama), July 4, 2019 (SPS) - The Delegate Minister for Latin America and the Caribbean, Mansur Omar, praised the interest and support of the University of Panama to the Saharawi people through the granting of scholarships for Sahrawis young helping them to reach higher education, calling it to continue strengthening solidarity relations to promote new academic projects.
During the meeting at the headquarters of the Deanship of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, Mansur spoke with the dean and representatives of the First House of Higher Studies, Dr. Hernando Franco, on the historical relations between the two countries and the role played by the academic institution in the formation of Sahrawi professionals.
The Vice Rector of extension, Denis Javier Chávez, taking advantage of the international projection of the University of Panama, stressed the need to continue consolidating the academic relations between the Sahrawi republic and Panama.
