Saharawi official reveals sufferings of Saharawi students in Moroccan universities

Paris (Algiers) Dec 19, 2018 (SPS) - A Saharawi Youth Union activist has stressed, in Paris, the seriousness of the situation of Saharawi students in Moroccan universities, in violations of the international rules and charters. 
Hamdi Omar, who is in charge of foreign relations at the Saharawi Youth Union, made the statement in a series of meetings on the sidelines of the International Festival of Solidarity.  
In a meeting with the head of the French University Centre for Western Sahara, Sebastien Boulay, Omar denounced Morocco's racist policy against Saharawi students in Moroccan universities. 
Omar underlined the various difficulties underwent by Saharawi students, including arrest and imprisonment campaigns and physical abuses against them because of their activities within the university.
The Saharawi official said the Saharawi students have been punished for speaking of Western Sahara people's struggle for independence and liberty.
He, besides, informed his host of the latest developments of the Saharawi cause at the regional and international levels.  SPS
