Saharawi coordinator with MINURSO holds a meeting with Canarian Parliamentary Intergroup of Solidarity with the SADR

Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain), March 08, 2018 (SPS) - The Saharawi coordinator with MINURSO and in charge of the dossier of natural resources, Mhamed Jadad, held a working meeting on Wednesday with the Canarian Parliamentary Intergroup of Solidarity with the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR).
The meeting that was attended by the Saharawi delegate in the Canary Islands, Hamdi Mansur, addressed the situation in the Occupied Teritories and in the Camps, the latest decisions of the African Union related to the national cause, the contact rounds initiated by the Envoy of the Secretary General and the judgment of the European Court of Justice and its repercussions on the case.
In this sense, the responsible Sahrawi clarified that the judgment of the European Court is not only victory of the Saharawi people but also of justice in times where economic interests often prevail.
Khadad, argued that the Frente POLISARIO is willing to negotiate within the framework of legality and respect for the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination with the European and Canarian entrepreneurs in order to resume their activity within the law.
Finally, the Canarian deputies reiterated their satisfaction for the explanations given by the Saharawi side and reaffirmed their commitment and firm support to the national cause. SPS
