African Court delegation on visit to Sahrawi Republic from Monday

Shaheed El-Hafed (refugee camps), Feb 4, 2018 (SPS) - A delegation of the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights will start a working visit to the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) as from Monday.
During the two-day visit, the African Court's delegation will be received by Sahrawi President and Secretary General of Polisario Front Brahim Ghali and other officials of the Polisario Front.
The delegation will visit Sahrawi national institutions, including the Sahrawi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Council, the province of El-Aaiun as well as the Association of the Families of Sahrawi Prisoners and Disappeared (AFAPREDESA), the Sahrawi Lawyers Union, the National Human Rights Commission and the Health Complex, Bashir Saleh.
In addition to a meeting with representatives of Sahrawi civil society, the African delegation will hold a seminar at the headquarters of the Sahrawi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will visit the Museum of Resistance.
The delegation will also meet with the Sahrawi minister of Justice, members of the Constitutional Council, the speaker of the Sahrawi National Council, before attending a meeting in the province of El-Aaiun with a view to underlining the role of African Court. (SPS)
