SADR Army committed to its constitutional missions

Doukj (Liberated Territories), 25 December 2017 (SPS) - Defence Minister of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) Abdallah Lahbib Balal has  reaffirmed the commitment of Saharawi People's Liberation Army to its constitutional missions, consisting mainly in the protection of the freed territories, the fight against organized crime and the establishment of national sovereignty over all SADR's territory, saying all units are ready to fulfil their missions.
"The units of the Saharawi People's Liberation Army are fully committed to their missions, which mainly consist in the establishment of national sovereignty over the whole territory of Western Sahara, the fight against organized crime and the protection of the liberated territories," the Defence minister, member of the national secretariat of the Polisario Front said at the end of the third meeting of Saharawi Army officers.
The minister said the inspection visit he made to the different Saharawi military districts had allowed him to notice "the readiness of all units."
He urged Saharawi Army troops to "combine efforts for the enforcement of Army command' decisions."
In his address, Abdallah Lahbib Balal said the meeting was an opportunity for the Army officers to consider ways and methods to strengthen the operability of the units and to discuss the goals of 2017 and preparations for 2018.
In addition to the Army's missions relating to the completion of liberation of the national territory, the papers presented at the two-day meeting mainly focused on "the readiness of the Saharawi People's Liberation Army for combat," "security situation in the light of the current challenges" and modernization of the administration and the management of the ministry of Defence.
