Paris (France), Nov 29, 2017 (SPS) - The representative of the Frente POLISARIO in France, Ubbi Buchraya, said today, through a press release, that Morocco failed to prevent the participation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) at the Fifth EU-AU Summit, which is taking place today and tomorrow in the Ivorian capital of Abidjan.
The Saharawi diplomat stressed that "the decision of the Executive Council of the African Union not only means the respect of the decisions of the pan-African organization on the matter, but also, an indefectible support to the SADR as a founding member of the Organization. "
Oubbi Bouchraya, highlights that the Summit is celebrated at a special moment for the Saharawi cause. On the one hand, the crisis of Guergarat and the last speech of the King of Morocco, as an expression of the will to return to hostilities and, on the other hand, the way inspired by the efforts of the new UN envoy, the decision of the Court European Court of Justice and the endless resolutions of the African Union that advocate the recognition of the Saharawi people.
European leaders, who are called to contribute to peace, "will have the opportunity to meet the two leaders at the Summit and listen to the points of view in order to seek a new dynamic capable of decolonizing the territories of Western Sahara on the basis of self-determination and independence, "says Bouchraya.
