Morocco expels a Euro-parliamentary delegation from Western Sahara

Brussels, Oct 27, 2017 (SPS) - Moroccan occupation authorities have expelled a parliamentary delegation from the Europarlamentary Group for Western Sahara on Friday in visit to observe the situation of human rights in the Occupied Zones of Western Sahara.
 
The delegation headed by Ms. Jitte Guteland, President of the Western Sahara Intergroup in the European Parliament, includes IU deputy speaker, Paloma Lòpez, Vice-President of the Western Sahara Intergroup in the European Parliament, Ms. Bodil Valero, Green Party of Sweden and Vice-President of the Western Sahara Intergroup in the European Parliament, in addition to Josu Juaristi and Lidia Senra of IU.
 
The POLISARIO, through its delegate for Europe Mohamed Sidati, has expressed his condemnation of the arbitrary expulsion of the Euro-parliamentary delegation by the Moroccan occupation of the airport of the occupied city of El Aaiún, vetoing the access of the delegation to the Occupied Territories of the Western Sahara.
