Moroccan security forces suppress Saharawi protesters in occupied Boujdour

Boujdour (Occupied Zones), Sep 22, 2017 (SPS) - A peaceful demonstration organized by the Saharawis on Thursday in the occupied city of Boujdour to demand the decolonization of Western Sahara and the release of Saharawi political prisoners was violently suppressed by the Moroccan security forces.
Dozens of armored personnel carriers closed access to Legbaibat neighborhood in the occupied city of Boujdour, before beginning their crackdown on peaceful demonstrators, who responded by chanting national slogans and waving flags of the Sahrawi Republic.
Violent intervention left several seriously injured Sahrawi activists: Zenabu Bani, Sultana Jailla, Fatima El-Hafdi, Aisha Babeit, Lehseini Sid Brahim, Hamdi Hbadi, Taieb Hamdi and Bakari Mohamed Lamin. (SPS)
