Moroccan court rulings against Sahrawi student are in retaliation of their political positions (President of Republic)

Submitted on

Bir-Lehlu, July 10, 2017 (SPS) -  President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, has affirmed that the unfair rulings issued by the Moroccan court against the Sahrawi students, known as the students group, were in retaliation of their political positions for the rights of the Sahrawi people.
The President of the Republic drew the attention of UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, in a letter Sunday, to violations of international law and international humanitarian law by the Moroccan occupying state and its continued disregard for the demands of numerous human rights organizations and bodies to put an end to repeated abuses, arrests, torture and mock trials.
He called for an end to all manifestations of siege and restrictions imposed by the Moroccan occupying power in the occupied Western Sahara, and to enable the MINURSO mission to protect, monitor and report on human rights, to immediately halt the massive looting of the natural resources of Western Sahara, and to remove the Moroccan military wall, which constitutes a crime against humanity.
