POLISARIO Front takes part at Norwegian Trade Unions Confederation 34th Congress

Oslo, Norway, 09 May 2017 (SPS) - the representative of the Frente POLISARIO in Norway, Dr. Limam Khalil, has attended the 34th Congress of the Norwegian Trade Union Confederation (NFTU), which started on Monday in Oslo.
 
Delegates representing more than 35 countries, as well as many international trade union organizations, will attend the conference. The conference is expected to endorse the position of the Confederation of Norwegian Trade Unions on a number of international issues, including the issue of decolonization in Western Sahara.
 
The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions is the largest and most influential trade union in Norway, with about 900,000 members, of whom about 45 percent are women. The Union was founded in 1899 and has 22 trade union organizations under its umbrella, making it a major influence and having a crucial role in Norwegian politics. SPS
