Guelmim (South of Morocco) 8 April 2017 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Committee for the Defense of Human Rights in the city of Guelmim, South of Morocco, reported that the family of the Sahrawi political prisoner, Secretary-General of the Committee, Abdel-Khaliq al-Markhi, informed that their son was isolated Friday in a clinic by the Bouzkarn prison administration, without knowing the real motives of this action.
The Committee warned against the consequences of causing harm to the physical and mental integrity of Sahrawi political Prisoner Abdel-Khaliq al-Markhi, who continues the battle of the unlimited hunger strike for the seventh day.
It called upon organizations and bodies concerned with the defense of human rights to exert pressure on the Moroccan state to comply with his legitimate demands to return his official documents (passport and driving license), which had been confiscated by the Moroccan intelligence services. (SPS)
