Danish Parliament interpellates its Government about Crans Montan Forum’s meeting in occupied Western Sahara

Copenhagen (Denmark) 16 March 2017 (SPS) – The member of Danish Parliament, Mr. Christian Juhl from the Red-Green Alliance Party through the Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee has raised Tuesday various questions to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Anders Samuelsen related to the Swiss-registered organisation, the Crans Montana Forum, based in the Principality of Monaco,  plan to hold for the third time its annual session in the city of Dakhla in the Moroccan-occupied territories of Western Sahara on 16-21 March 2017.
Mr. Juhl interpellations to the Danish Foreign Affairs Minister read: “Morocco, in collaboration with the Crans Montana Forum is trying to legitimize its occupation to Western Sahara. Crans Montana is misleading its invitees when it claims to be committed to a more humane and impartial world, while it says that the event will take place in “Dakhla in Morocco.
A) Is the Minister aware of the Crans Montana Forum's intention to hold its annual meeting in Dakhla in the Morocco’s occupied Western Sahara from 16-21 March 2017?

B) Will the Minister or other members of the Danish Government participate in Crans Montana Forum’s annual meeting?

C) What can the Danish government do to promote the people's right to self-determination in Western Sahara in the light of the European Court Decision of December 21st, 2016, where the Court recognized the separate and distinct status accorded to the territory of Western Sahara by virtue of the principle of self-determination”?
