Prime Minister participates in inauguration ceremony of new Ghanaian President

Accra (Ghana), January 7, 2017 (SPS) - Prime Minister Abdelkader Taleb Omar participated Saturday, representing the President of Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, at the inauguration ceremony of the new Ghanaian President, Nana Addo Dankwa.

The ceremony took place at Independence Square in the Ghanaian capital Accra amid a large popular presence, and more than 44 countries represented by presidents and heads of government, heads of parliaments and ministers, as well as global, continental and international organizations, some weighing up personalities in the world of politics, finance and business from around the world.

On this occasion, the Ghanaian President-elect greeted each delegation separately, and was an opportunity for the Sahrawi prime minister to congratulate him, handed him a message from his Sahrawi counterpart, Brahim Ghali, and briefed him on developments related to the Sahrawi issue, expressing the ties of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries and brotherly peoples.

The new Ghanaian President expressed his thanks and appreciation for the participation of the Saharawi delegation at these ceremonies and his willingness to meet with the Saharawi president. (SPS)
