Kenya confirms its permanent standing with Saharawi people right for freedom and self-determination

Algeria, December 07, 2016 (SPS) - Kenya has confirmed its permanent standing with the right of the Saharawi people to freedom and independence, renewing its call for the international community to speed up the solution which enables Saharawi people to exercise their self-determination.
“Kenya emphasizes its solidarity with the Saharawi people, who are still waiting the application of Security Council resolutions and the United Nations relevant, mainly resolution 2984 issued in April 1991 related to the settlement plan agreed between the Morocco and the Frente POLISARIO under the auspices of the UN.”  Kenyan ambassador in Algeria Mr. Lemoshira Richard Moi said during the celebration of the 53rd anniversary of the independence of the State of Kenya
 
The Kenyan ambassador hailed Algeria on the commitment and the leadership role played for the restoration of peace, security and stability in Africa, in the Maghreb region, highlighting that Kenya stand always along with Algeria in the face of all the security challenges in Africa and the world.
 
The Celebration organized by the Kenyan embassy in Algiers, was attended by members of the Algerian government and the Saharawi Ambassador in Algeria Buchraya Hamudi Bayun and a number of diplomatic corps representatives accredited in Algeria.SPS
