Signing of a twinning agreement between Edchera and Ecuadorian municipality of Cayambe

Quito (Ecuador), December 07, 2016 (SPS) - the Ecuadorian Municipality of Cayambe Tuesday has signed a twinning agreement with the Daira of Edchera, Aaiun, reported a source of Saharawi Embassy in Ecuador.
SADR Ambassador of Ecuador, Mr. Alisalem Sidi Zeinon has signed the agreement on behalf of the President of the Municipal Council of Edchera with the mayor of Cayambe, Mr. Guillermo Churuchumbi Lechón from the Ecuadorian side.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, which took place in the presence of the Ecuadorian media, the mayor of Cayambe voiced his municipality's commitment to defending the right of the Saharawi people for freedom and self-determination.
For his part, the Saharawi Ambassador stressed, "That despite the spacing between the two peoples, there is a strong commitment and solidarity between them.  SPS
