Algeria hails African Group supporting Saharawi cause firm position

Malabo (Equatorial Guinea) - the Algerian Minister of Maghreb Affairs and African Union and the Arab League, Mr. Abdelkader Messahel has praised in his speech on the occasion of the fourth Afro-Arab summit in Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea, "the firm position of the African Group supporting the Sahrawi cause."
 
Abdelkader Messahel added that this attitude has failed the maneuvers of some non-African parties that tried to impose its point of view," calling on the Polisario Front and Morocco to "initiate a direct political dialogue to allow the Sahrawi people to self-determination in accordance with the regulations and resolutions of the United Nations."
 
The Algerian minister went on saying that Algeria is undertaking its responsibilities as a key player in the region in order to bring security, peace and avoid conflict through inclusive dialogue and a political solution and national reconciliation.SPS
