Sahrawi delegation takes part in World Social Forum in Canada

Montreal (Canada), August 09, 2016 (SPS) - Sahrawi delegation arrived yesterday to the Canadian city of Montreal to participate in the work of the World Social Forum in its 12th edition, which will be kicked off today under the title of "another world is needed, together, it is possible."
 
Sahrawi participation, which includes a variety of different civil society actors from refugee camps, Occupied Territories, the Diaspora" will work to gain more international support to our cause and to reach Sahrawi people voice to the participants through participation in all activities and workshops of the forum.
 
The World Social Forum (WSF) is the largest gathering of civil society to find solutions to the problems of our time. Started in 2001 in Brazil, the WSF brings together in each of its edition tens of thousands of participants to more than a thousand activities (workshops, conferences, artistic performances …) on various themes (social, solidarity economy, environment, human rights, democratization …). A charter of principles describes what is and is not the WSF process, the values and goals of its participants, as well as important operation rules.SPS
