Dakhla (Sahrawi Refugee Camps), July 07, 2016 (SPS) - The Extraordinary Congress of the Frente Polisario, which bears the name of the Martyr Mohamed Abdelaziz, will open tomorrow in camps of Dakhla under the title "Strength, Determination and will to impose full independence and sovereignty ", in the presence of foreign participants and 2472 Saharawi delegates.
Foreign delegation and delegates from all the Sahrawi institutions started arriving to the Camps of Dakhla where all the material and human resources and logistics circumstances are ready for the holding of Extraordinary Congress at best conditions. Source of the preparatory committee told SPS.
This Extraordinary Congress comes in accordance with article 49 of the Statue of the Frente POLISARIO, which stipulates that the President of the National Council (the Parliament) shall assume the post of the Secretary-General and President of the Republic until a new Secretary-General is elected in an extraordinary Congress to be held within 40 days.
