United States says Security Council will not allow the exploitation of UN peace missions in political battles

USA, March 23, 2016 (SPS) - the United States permanent representative to the United Nations, Ms. Samantha Power Monday indicated that the UN Security Council would not be allowed to exploit the UN peace missions in political battles, during SC session in New York, United States of America.
 
 
"the states must allow the missions of the United Nations to exercise its powers away from any pressure." Samantha Power said
 
 
Morocco has used MINURSO in its campaign for political gain to support its occupation of Western Sahara, but the insistence of the Secretary-General to hold on his positions supporting the international legitimacy, making the Moroccan regime slips and violates the Charter of the United Nations and its commitments.SPS
